GEELY RMI PORTAL – TERMS OF USE

1. Introduction

1.1. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Geely RMI Portal ("RMI Portal"), an online platform that provides access to Geely service and repair information.

1.2. The RMI Portal is operated by Geely Auto Australia Pty Ltd ("Geely", "We", "Us", or "Our") in compliance with the Motor Vehicle Information Scheme (MVIS) under the Competition and Consumer Amendment (Motor Vehicle Service and Repair Information Sharing Scheme) Act 2021 (Cth).

1.3. By using the RMI Portal, you ("User", "You") agree to these Terms. If You do not accept these Terms, you must not use the RMI Portal.

1.4. Geely may update these Terms periodically. Changes will take effect immediately upon publication on the RMI Portal.

2. User account

2.1. To access the RMI Portal, you must create a user account ("User Account") and sign in.

2.2. Your User Account is personal and non-transferable. You must not:

  • Share login credentials with any third party.

  • Allow any third party to access the RMI Portal through Your User Account.

2.3. You are responsible for keeping Your login credentials secure. If You suspect any unauthorised access, you must notify Geely immediately. Geely reserves the right to suspend or restrict access if an account is suspected of being compromised.

2.4. When creating a User Account, you must provide accurate and up-to-date information. Please review Geely’s Privacy Policy before submitting Your details.

2.5. Creating a User Account using false, misleading, or incomplete information is prohibited and may result in suspension or termination of access.

3. Privacy Policy

3.1. Geely is committed to protecting Your privacy and handling personal information in accordance with Australian privacy laws.

3.2. The collection, storage, and use of Your personal data in connection with the RMI Portal are governed by Geely’s Privacy Policy, available at: https://www.geely.com.au/privacy-policy

3.3. By using the RMI Portal, you acknowledge and agree that Geely may collect, process, and store Your personal information for the purposes of:

  • Managing Your User Account and subscription services

  • Verifying Your identity for access to restricted content under MVIS

  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations

  • Communicating important updates regarding the RMI Portal

4. Service and Repair Information Available

4.1. The RMI Portal provides access to service and repair information for eligible users, including:

  • Service and repair manuals

  • Maintenance schedules

  • Labor time information

  • Recall campaign information

  • Parts catalogue

  • Special tools list

  • Diagnostic system information

4.2. Access to certain security and safety-related information, such as immobiliser codes and key programming, is restricted under MVIS and requires verification through the Australian Automotive Service and Repair Authority (AASRA).

4.3. The service and repair information available on the RMI Portal is for lawful use only and must be used exclusively for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing Geely vehicles in accordance with industry standards.

5. Conditions of use

5.1. To access the RMI Portal, You must:

  • Register an account on the RMI Portal

  • Provide valid business details

  • Where applicable, authenticate via AASRA for security-related information

5.2. The RMI Portal operates on a fee-based subscription model. Fees are based on the duration of access:

  • One-day subscription

  • One-week subscription

  • One-month subscription

  • Twelve-month subscription

5.3. As required under MVIS, subscription fees reflect a fair market price. Fees are publicly available on the RMI Portal and subject to periodic review.

5.4. When You use the RMI System, You must not:

  • Violate these Terms of Use or any applicable law.

  • Upload, transmit, or share content that is harmful, misleading, or infringes the rights of third parties.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the RMI Portal, its servers, or databases used for its operation.

  • Damage, disable, or introduce malicious software into the RMI Portal, including viruses, worms, malware, spyware, or Trojan horses.

  • Engage in screen scraping, data mining, or automated data extraction of any content from the RMI Portal without prior written permission from Geely.

  • Use the RMI Portal in a manner that disrupts or interferes with its operation, including excessive requests or attempting to bypass access controls.

5.5. Suspension, Termination and Cancellation

  • If you breach any part of these Conditions of Use, Geely may suspend or terminate your access to the RMI Portal and your User Account with immediate effect.

  • Geely reserves the right to revoke access permanently or reinstate it upon proof of compliance with these Terms.

  • If your access is suspended or terminated, you will not be entitled to a refund, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.

  • Subscription fees are fixed and non-refundable once the subscription has commenced, including in the event of early cancellation by the subscriber.

6. Intellectual property rights

6.1. By subscribing, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive right to access and use the RMI Portal for lawful service and repair purposes.

6.2. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any service and repair materials.

6.3. You must not:

  • Reproduce, sell, distribute, or sublicense any information

  • Modify or create derivative works based on the content

  • Reverse-engineer software provided via the RMI Portal, except where permitted by law

6.4. Use of RMI Portal content must comply with fair competition laws and MVIS regulations.

7. Liability

7.1. The RMI System and its content are provided "as is" and Geely makes no warranties, either express or implied, regarding the RMI System or its content, except as required under Australian Consumer Law.

7.2. To the extent permitted by law, Geely is not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the RMI Portal

  • Losses due to incorrect application of service and repair information

  • Vehicle damage caused by unauthorised modifications

7.3. By using the RMI Portal, you acknowledge:

  • You are responsible for ensuring correct diagnosis and repair

  • You must use qualified technicians for repairs

  • Geely is not liable for improper use of service and repair information

7.4. Geely may link to external websites on the RMI System. We are not responsible for these websites or their content.
